  • Architecture: Traders in Prague
This scene is a variation of street scenes in Prague, Czech Republic set in a different time period. Originally, only the men standing near the river were part of the scene. Later, I added the women walking and afer that, decided it needed a horse and cart. The street may eventually be filled with acivity (if I get the time). Painting, oil on 36 X 24 inch canvas. Prints available.
  • Architecture: Varykino in Winter
Inspired by a scene from the 1965 film, Doctor Zhivago. The film was based on the famous novel by Boris Pasternak. Impasto layers contribute to palace shadows influenced by lighting techniques. Oil painting on 24 X 16 inch canvas. Prints available.
  • Architecture: Footsteps to Varykino
This scene is a variation of my Varykino in Winter painting. Bordered by Birch trees, the footsteps leading to the palace are pushed into the thick inpasto layers of the snow. The full moon is rising above the ice palace giving shadows of the building. The icicles hanging from the roof edges are formed with impasto paint layers. Painting, oil on canvas, 24 X 16 inches. Prints available.
